Benefits of Integrative Counseling
People find Integrative Counseling useful for many different
purposes. For example, it can
- Help you to develop new perspectives and life skills, so that
you can free yourself from habitual patterns of anxiety, depression,
anger and self-criticism.
- Help you reconnect with your inner purpose and sense of power
so that you can take responsibility and move forward in your life
rather than feeling helpless or like a victim.
- Help you find ways to relate to emotional and or physical suffering
so that your suffering can bring you wisdom and compassion rather
than bitterness.
- Improve the quality of your relationships by developing healthier
patterns such as good boundaries, caring rather than caretaking,
self-compassion, clarity of expression and the ability to deeply
listen to yourself and others.
- Support you in exploring your spiritual life and living from
a deeper sense of faith.
- Provide you with a set time each week to attend to your own
needs and regain your perspective amidst the challenges of day
to day life.
You are welcome to make an initial appointment or speak with me
directly about what you are looking for, and we will work together
to see if this type of experience would be a good step at this time.
(Please note that I do not provide 24 hour “on call”
service. I am also not licensed in the state of California, as there is no licensing for counseling at this time. Clients who are at risk for suicide, experiencing
psychotic episodes, or otherwise needing a higher level of care
than I can provide, will be referred to a more appropriate source
of help.)
